서태지가 직접 발굴해서 키운 밴드는 아무도 없습니다.
그런건 서태지의 스타일도 아니고...그런쪽에 아예 관심이 없다고나 할까요.
단지 주위에 능력이 있는데 조명을 받지 못하는 인디밴드들을 후원해주는것일뿐. 어쨌거나 넬은 서태지가 스폰서한 첫번째 밴드이고 서태지의 이름으로 엄청난 각광을 받은 것은 부인할수없는 사실이죠. 직접적으로는 서태지 팬들의 지원을 많이 받기도 했구요. 저도 서태지 팬이지만 넬의 팬이기도 합니다. 물론 넬이 많은 인기를 얻을만큼 실력이 되기도 했지만 대한민국에는 실력이 좋아도 퍼블리시티를 타지 못해 그냥 묻혀버려진 좋은 밴드가 너무나도 많이 있습니다. 특히나 락, 메탈, 하드코어, 이모등은 유명밴드 몇몇을 빼면 아직도 비주류로 외면받는 슬픈 현실이죠. the good night
